Deer Creek Watershed AllianceFriday, March 8, 2013 | Updates
The goal of the Deer Creek Watershed Alliance is to improve water quality by installing landscaping that helps capture rain where it falls, instead of allowing water to run off-site. RainScaping may also be used to solve drainage issues, increase aesthetic appeal, improve property values, and more. Property owners may select from a variety of RainScaping options such as planting a rain garden, amending soil, installing rain barrels, and/or replacing grass with trees, shrubs, and other low-maintenance ground cover.
Property and Landowners in the participating municipalities -see below- are eligible for RainScape Rebates. RainScape Rebates are available to financially assist property owners in the Deer Creek Watershed who choose to landscape their property to improve storm-water management. The maximum RainScape Rebate per property is 75 percent of documented expenses up to $2,000.
Participating Municipalities: Brentwood, Clayton, Creve Coeur, Des Peres, Frontenac, Kirkwood, Ladue, Maplewood, Olivette, Richmond Heights, Rock Hill, University City, Warson Woods, Webster Groves.
